Rio Turbio North Patagonia multisport adventure trip

multisport trip Northern Patagonia ArgentinaWith a morning start leaving from San Carlos de Bariloche we will drive about 2 hours south to a lake called Lago Puelo. From here we will take a small catamaran across the lake reaching the mouth of the river El Turbio.

We continue by foot hiking up an easy trail along the river el Turbio for about 5 hours until we reach a small farm. This farm is run self sufficiently by a lovely family which have invited us to use their farm as a home base for our adventures in the surrounding mountains.

We will spend three days in this valley hiking to the top of a mountain called la Plataforma. From the top of this mountain we will be able to have a great view of the valley. We will set up camp on the mountain, the following day we will head back to the farm.

Hanging bridge over Manso river - North Patagonia trekkingThis trip can also be done by horseback or a combination of the two. On our last day we will return to Lago Puelo rafting, canoeing or kayaking down the Rio Turbio. This takes about 3 hours and it is an amazing way to enjoy the scenery while floating down the river. When we return to the lake a small catamaran will be waiting for us to take us to the other side of the lake.

We will head back to Bariloche, stopping on the way to a small town called el Bolson. This town is well known for their artisan goods including delicious beer! Then back to Bariloche for a goodbye dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in town.
